Sound Recording Clips

This licence may be appropriate for the following types of service;

a website selling music in physical formats that wished to provide sample audio of the recordings

a blog website reviewing sound recordings

The 2009 Licence fees for the PPL On-Demand Clips Streaming Licence are:

i)  £100 (+ VAT) for 1 - 250 Clips made available at any one time
OR
ii) £400 (+ VAT) for 250 - 1000 Clips made available at any one time

The restrictions of the licence would include the following:

The Clips of Sound Recordings used by the Licensee must not

i) have any implied endorsement or use in advertising or sponsorship
ii) be synchronised with visual images
iii) be made available from any other websites (only for streaming licensee's website which will require the prevention of Clips from being deep-linked)
iv) be included on a subscription or pay-per-play site (these services are excluded from this licence)
v) facillitate the use of music as mobile ringtones
