Division of Performer Track Allocation

The Performer Track Allocation will be divided between persons who have provided performances on a sound recording on the basis of a valid Performer Share Agreement, or in the absence of such an agreement, in accordance with PPL’s Performer Allocation Policy.

A performer is a person who has provided an audible contribution to the sound recording.

A conductor or producer may also qualify as a performer on a sound recording where they have conducted or directed the performances of other performers whilst the recording was taking place (i.e. an inaudible contribution).  Such a conductor or producer will be a Non-Featured Performer on the sound recording, unless they qualify as a Contracted Featured Performer.

Persons who make alterations to the sound recording after the recording has been made, such as engineers or remixers, will not be deemed to be qualifying performers, unless these new versions involve new audible performances.
