Mandatory data requirements

Below is a list of the mandatory data required when registering release information via the PPL Repertoire Database software.

Please note that in addition to these requirements:

a record company should submit a full performer line-up for each sound recording registered to ensure that PPL performer royalties can be distributed accurately
all products should be registered at least 3 weeks before their release date to ensure MCPS requirements are met

Recordings:

Title
Main Artistic Name
ISRC (International Standard Recording Code)
Content type (audio or video)
(P) year and name (year in which the sound recording was first released and name of the company that owns the original copyright to the sound recording)
Country of recording
Country of commissioning
Sound recording repertoire owner
PPL Rights Holder

Products:

Title
Main Artistic Name
Format type (album, single etc)
Media type (CD, download, etc)
Catalogue number
Barcode
Intended release date
Marketing label
