Software Update

PPL’s Repertoire Services team are pleased to announce an interim update to the online registration software used by existing and prospective record company members to register their recordings and products with PPL.

The updated software, PPL App V4.2 is now available. All record company members will receive an e-mail notification when the software is available.

WHAT'S NEW?

PPL App V4.2 is easier to use and includes many new features that improve the speed of registration. New features include:

  • New defaults settings system to enable labels to key in data that is the same for each recording/product one time only
  • Improved drop down boxes that respond to typing as well as scrolling with the mouse
Fewer but more accurate options to choose from the drop down boxes
  • Tooltips are available by hovering your mouse over the field name
  • Retrieving  products will also retrieve all live recordings
  • ISRC is now a mandatory requirement

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY OLD APP V4?

The old software, App V4, will no longer be available to register or amend your releases. However, you will still be able to open App V4 and view any release information you have stored on it. Please do NOT uninstall the old software because any recordings and products you hold in it will not automatically populate the new software. The new software will not overwrite the old App V4 so you will be able to have both programs on your computer.

Please note that you will be able to retrieve any recordings or products already registered with PPL using the new App V4.2. software should you need to amend anything.

WHAT DO I DO NEXT?

1) You will need to download and install APP V4.2 to your computer. Please go to www.ppluk.com/repertoire and click on the red banner midway down the page to login. Please note that Repertoire Database login details are not the same as your MyPPL login.

2) Once you have logged in, click on the DOWNLOAD APPLICATION button and select the appropriate link for your computer. Please note that Windows Vista users should read the specific Vista installation instructions at the bottom of the Download Application page.
