AIM Awards

The AIM Independent Music Awards celebrates innovation and legacy within the independent sector, with categories rewarding both recent and career-spanning achievements, uniquely recognising both artists and those working behind the scenes.

PPL is presenting the Most Played New Independent Act, this category does not accept submissions, the winner is determined using PPL airplay data.

Previous winners of the PPL Award for Most Played New Independent Artist include Dave (2018), Stormzy (2017), Sigala (2016), and Jungle (2015).

For the categories which are decided by judges, the AIM Awards judging panel is comprised of experts, enthusiasts and tastemakers from music journalism, radio and television. Judges are carefully selected from a variety of fields, to ensure nominees and winners are eclectic, exciting and representative of the diversity of UK music.
