1Xtra’s Top 21 Songs of the Last 21 Years

In celebration of its 21st year, the black and urban music radio station played its top 21 most played songs from the last 21 years using data provided by PPL’s repertoire team.
Presenter Nick Bright gives a shout out to PPL for putting together the playlist before kicking the countdown off with Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Swimming Pools (Drank)’ at number 21.

50 Cent kicked off the top 10 with ‘In Da Club’, while Usher’s ‘Good Kisser’ came in at three. Tinie Tempah’s club banger ‘Pass Out’ fell short of the top spot, coming in at 2.
