PPL reveals its annual charts of most played tracks and artists for 2016

Music licensing company PPL has announced its annual PPL Most Played Charts revealing the most played artist and track on radio, TV and in public places by businesses across the UK in 2016. Coldplay were named as 2016’s most played artist, whilst 'Can’t Stop The Feeling!' by Justin Timberlake took the top spot as the most played track.

Nirvana’s frontman Kurt Cobain would have turned 50 on 20th February 2017. To celebrate the life of a pivotal figure in the grunge movement, PPL has revealed a Top 20 chart of the most-played Nirvana tracks on UK radio and TV in the 21st century.
