Email your MP to safeguard creative rights in AI

PPL, as part of the Creative Rights in AI Coalition (CRAIC), is urging creatives to email your local MP, calling on them to safeguard creative rights in AI and write to Government Ministers about this critical issue.

An ‘Email your MP’ service has been launched on the Creative Rights in AI Coalition website here: creativerightsinai.eaction.org.uk/MP

Enter your postcode and it will generate a template email to your local MP. The email sets out the threat that unlicensed use of copyrighted content by AI firms poses to creatives and calls on your MP to support policies that will allow the creative industries to have full control over our work – understanding when it has been used by AI firms, and be compensated fairly when it is used in AI.

You can also amend the email, adding details about yourself and why you care about safeguarding creative rights in AI.

CRAIC, a coalition of rights holders including artists, music producers, publishers and authors, was established in December 2024. The coalition is calling on the government to protect copyright as generative AI policy develops.
