Today’s payment (30 September) is made up of UK and international revenues from 43 collective management organisations (CMOs) around the world.

The largest payments to performers this quarter came from CMOs in the US, Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, and Germany.

Spanish collections for performers also grew with revenues made up of income from public performance, broadcast, private copying, audio-visual and more recently making available (streaming) driving an increase.

Recording rightsholders are receiving significant payments from the US, Netherlands, Spain and Australia. This also includes a large payment from France relating to new 2024 airplay and other monies relating to music usage between 2018 and 2023.

Recording rightsholders have also benefitted from a recent agreement reached by the Spanish CMO, AGEDI, and Telefónica de España relating to the Movistar+ TV platform, which has resulted in the distribution of back-dated royalties.

In addition, this quarter’s payment includes over £2.6 million being distributed by VPL, which licenses music videos when they are played in public or broadcast on TV. The revenue being distributed to music video rightsholders relates to the use of music videos by MTV’s channels across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
