What is the PPL Momentum Music Fund?

The PPL Momentum Music Fund offers career-boosting grants of £5,000 – £15,000 to UK-based artists and bands at a pivotal point in their development.

Since 2013 the Fund has helped the careers of some of the UK’s brightest talents, including Years and Years, Kae Tempest, Ms Banks, Sam Fender, Anna Calvi, Novelist and Moses Boyd.

In total 390 artists have been supported with £3.7 million.

This has delivered 260 UK tours (and over 1,400 live dates), 225 albums and dozens of top 20 chart placements. 9 funded artists have gone on to be nominated for the Mercury Prize, including Ghostpoet, Little Simz and The Comet Is Coming.

Grants are offered four times a year and can be used for activities such as touring, writing and recording an album, or marketing and promotion.
