Jade released her self-titled debut album in April this year after much critical acclaim of her talents, securing spots on the MTV Push and BBC Sounds Of 2018 watch lists, the latter of which also featured the likes of Sam Fender and Lewis Capaldi. Her album hit the #1 spot on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and #2 on the Official Independent Albums Chart; success that was then reflected in a nomination for Emerging Act of the Year in the 2019 Americana Music Awards. Showcases at SXSW in 2017 and 2018, the latter supported by PPL and PRS for Music, helped raise her profile on both sides of the Atlantic.
Jade will benefit from PPL’s 92 agreements with collective management organisations (CMOs) around the world. In 2018 these agreements covered 96% of the value of the neighbouring rights market for performers. These relationships, along with an experienced team of neighbouring rights specialists and a well-developed technology infrastructure, help PPL identify and collect significant royalty sums; in 2018, its international revenue stream had a record year, collecting £70.9 million. This brought the total revenue collected since the start of PPL’s international business in 2006 to £429.1 million.
