PPL Annual Performer Meeting (APM) 2025

Event date: 19/11/2025
Venue: Band on the Wall, Manchester
Our Annual Performer Meeting (APM) will include the election of the Performer Directors who represent performers on PPL’s Board. We’ll be sharing updates on PPL’s collection and distribution of performer income for the last 12 months, and taking a look at the company’s activities and plans going forward. We’ll also be hosting a live Q&A session.

Who should be our Performer Directors?

Since 2022, we’ve paid £433.3m to hundreds of thousands of performers. This is a chance for our performer members to make their voices heard and influence what these elected representatives can do for them.

Voting information

It takes just five minutes to vote online, via a secure website. Please note there will not be an opportunity to vote on the day itself.

Our partner, Civica Election Services, will contact eligible performers with more voting details nearer the time (directly or via the designated representative who manages their PPL account). We will also update this page, so please check back for the latest information.

Online voting will not open until after the candidate nomination process has been completed and the confirmed list of election candidates has been published.

Two Performer Directors will be elected at this year’s APM. Candidates do not have to be a performer to stand. You must be nominated by at least 10 eligible performers (i.e. they must have received a PPL payment since 2023) and provide an election statement of up to 500 words on their suitability.

Nominating candidates

If you’re an eligible performer and would like to stand as a Performer Director or nominate a candidate to do so, you can download the candidate nomination form here. The deadline for submitting completed nominations is 1pm on Friday, 10 October 2025.

Following the nomination deadline, the election statements from the confirmed candidates will be available via our website for voting performers to read. Candidates may also decide to promote their candidacy through other media, but PPL is impartial in this process and will not endorse or be associated with any such promotion.

Eligible performers

The APM is a meeting for eligible performers. For the purposes of this year’s APM, this means performers who are registered with PPL and who have received any UK or international performer payment from us in 2023, 2024 and/or between 1 January and 30 June 2025.
